Ultra Europe in Split: festival & island afterparty guide
Once a year Split becomes Europe's electronic music capital. Here's what Ultra week looks like — from Park Mladeži to the closing party on a fortress above the sea.
Ultra Europe is the biggest EDM festival on the Adriatic and one of the largest in Europe. It takes place in mid-July (July 10–12 in 2026) at Park Mladeži, and after three Split nights it moves to the islands as Destination Ultra.
When and where
The main festival runs three nights (Friday–Sunday) at Park Mladeži. Doors open around 20:00 and the programme runs until 5 a.m. Park Mladeži is about a twenty-minute walk from the centre; expect crowds and extra public transport on those nights.
Stages
Alongside the huge Main Stage, the RESISTANCE stage gathers the techno and house crowd, with smaller stages across the electronic spectrum. The 2026 lineup is led by Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Fisher, John Summit, Armin van Buuren and more.
Destination Ultra: island afterparties
After Split the party moves to the islands:
- Brač — the Regatta Party, a format that starts on a boat and lands on the island.
- Hvar — ULTRA Beach and RESISTANCE at the iconic Carpe Diem beach.
- Vis — the big Closing at Fort George fortress, with near-360° sea views.
Practical tips
- Buy tickets (day and festival passes) in advance on the official site — prices rise as the dates approach.
- Book accommodation early; the city is full and pricier those days.
- Recover by day on the beaches (Bačvice, Žnjan, Kašjuni) — the sea is the best reset before another night.
- For the island events, plan a ferry or organised transport and check your return.
